Sofprene-T® is the brand name of a class of compounds based on the styrenic block copolymer SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) and polyolefins such as PP or PS. SBS phase gives Sofprene-T® high elasticity properties and easy processability by the common thermoplastic techniques.

Sofprene-T® characteristics:

* Wide hardness range from 25 SHA to SHD scale
* Excellent elasticity properties, both in compression and tension, at low temperature up to -50°C
* Continous use temperature up to 45-60°C, although temperatures between 70-90°C can be sustained for a short time
* A very good abrasion resistance and a high antislip coefficient
* Easy colouring by master or coloured pigments
* Recyclable
* Moderate behaviour when subjected to UV, ozone, weathering exposure which can be improved by special additives
* Easy and low-cost processing
* 2-shot moulding or co-extrusion onto PS or polyolefins components which offer design freedom for “soft-touch”
