Laprene® is the brand name of compounds based on the styrenic block copolymer SEBS (styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene) and polyolefins with some of the properties of rubber and the advantage of thermoplastic processing techniques.

Laprene® characteristics:

* Excellent ozone, UV and weather resistance that comes from the saturated elastomeric phase (SEBS)
* Chemical resistance to acids, bases, detergents and watery solutions
* Low permanent set (elasticity) in a wide temperature range
* Continous use temperature from -50°C to beyond +100°C depending on the applications
* Wide hardness range from 5 SHA to 60 SHD
* 2-shot moulding or co-extrusion onto difficult thermoplastic components, e.g. PA, ABS, PC, PS etc. which offer design freedom for “soft-touch” and sealing
* Easy colouring by master or coloured pigments
* Recyclable
* Ability to obtain lower density with foaming agents
* Grades suitable for food contact
